How it started
After starting being a Touhou fan, I felt like there was no one else in Switzerland who was also a Touhou fan, but after playing Hisoutensoku Online, I found a Swiss player who I directly contacted via Discord, which led me to find some more Touhou fans living in Switzerland. after some times and research on various social media, I found some more Touhou fans who I added in a Discord group. We shared things about Touhou and all. Then came our first convention Japan Impact 2025, where we found more Touhou fans! The Discord group was full because it's capped at 10 people, so in 2025, right after Japan Impact, we created the Swissokyo Discord Server to welcome every Touhou fan we find in Switzerland. Later on we found more Touhou fans in Polymanga and other conventions. We worked on the Swissokyo Discord Server, created a Constitution (Rules) so Swissokyo can become the place dedicated to finding and uniting every Touhou fan of Switzerland in one place for them to share their passion for Touhou Project and other fandoms between fellow Swiss Touhou fans. since Touhou is very niche, we wanted to make people not feel alone being a Touhou fan in such a small country like Switzerland.
Our Current Goal
We primarly aim to find and unite every Touhou fan in Switzerland, be it in Geneva, Zurich, Basel, Bern, or the Alps. We want to make easier for Touhou fans in Switzerland to have fun together, meetup, cosplay, share their passions and make friends !
Future Plans
In the future, we'll want to being a real organized association, organize more meetups, events, and maybe have a booth in conventions like Polymanga or Japan Impact. We currently are too young and don't have the funds nor the opportunity to do that, but it will come !
